Physiotherapy- Workers Compensation

Inform your employer about your injury and you or a representative from your place of employment contact the Workers Compensation Board to make an injury claim. A claim number will be assigned to you and you will bring that to your first appointment. We will handle the billing with the Workers Compensation Board once the claim number is provided to us.


Physiotherapy- Manitoba Public Insurance

Just call Manitoba Public Insurance and make a Bodily Injury Claim. The claim adjudicator will provide you with a claim number that differs from the one provided to you for the damage to your vehicle. Provide us with the Bodily Injury Claim number and we will handle the billing with Manitoba Public Insurance.

Joe holds professional licenses in both Physiotherapy and Massage Therapy. He graduated from the Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy in 1996 and has maintained his professional membership with the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba since his graduation. Joe instructed at the Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy from 1997 to 2001.

In 2002 Joe travelled to New Zealand to study Osteopathy. While living abroad Joe discovered Physiotherapy and made the decision to return home to Winnipeg to complete his Physiotherapy degree. In 2007 Joe Graduated from the University of Manitoba – Physical Therapy. Joe has taken numerous courses over his 20+ years in allied health, completing his upper and lower extremity and spinal level 2 orthopedic manual therapy, certification in acupuncture and many post secondary courses in Physiotherapy, Exercise Rehabilitation, Fascia Release, and Massage Therapy to advance his professional development.

Joe has volunteered his time serving on the Manitoba Physiotherapy Association board as a Co-Chair of the Business Affairs Committee and as the private practice representative for the College of Rehabilitation Sciences, department of Physical Therapy Curriculum Committee.

Away from work Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children. Whether it’s skating with the kids in the backyard, taking them to swimming, hockey, gymnastics or enjoying a relaxing day at home or the beach Joe appreciates his time with his family.

Erin is a Certified Athletic Therapist with the Manitoba and Canadian Athletic Therapists Associations. She graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2020 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology, majoring in Athletic Therapy. She has experience working with a wide range of individuals, including youth, seniors, university-level athletes, office workers and many more. Erin has enjoyed watching and playing sports from a young age, which is how she learned about the profession of athletic therapy. She chose to pursue a career in athletic therapy because she wanted to work with a professional sports team. However, she became passionate about rehabilitation in a clinical setting through her practicum placements. She has experience working with a wide variety of acute and chronic injuries, pre-and-post-surgical rehabilitation, foot pain, casting orthotics, MPI and WCB claims, and reconditioning programming. In her spare time, Erin continues to enjoy watching and playing sports, spending time with her family and friends, cycling, puzzling and solving logic problems. She has recently taken up coaching high school basketball and she has loved teaching the youth about one of the sports she is passionate about. Erin has a wide array of interests and looks forward to getting to know each client she has the opportunity to work with.

Kaitlin graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in physiotherapy in 2011, as well as a degree in physical education in 2008. She has completed her Canadian Orthopaedic Division level III for the upper quadrant and level II for the lower quadrant. Kaitlin is certified and has advanced training in acupuncture, and has taken training in dry needling.

Kaitlin currently works at St. Norbert Physiotherapy on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and at South Winnipeg Physiotherapy on Tuesday and Thursdays.

In her spare time, Kaitlin participated in the sport of rifle shooting, as well as long distance running. She believes in staying active and pursuing lifelong learning in order to provide her clients with the best possible care.

Lisa graduated in 2009 as an RMT from The Professional Institute of Massage Therapy with an advanced Massage therapy Diploma, 2200 hrs in Clinical treatments. 2014 she received a diploma for Certified Personal Training , 2018 received diploma for Body Building Specialist, 2020 received diploma for Exercise Therapy, all from International Sports Science Association. Originally born and raised in Pinawa Manitoba, Lisa moved to Fort McMurray Alberta for 11 years where she spent the majority of her career working out of professional Physical Therapy & Massage Clinics. Now relocated back to her home roots she is exited to offer her extensive training and experience as a part of the LDB Physio team.
